Why we recommend using Build IDs with Software Versions

 

Build IDs are a great way to identify run that built the firmware. This way you can make sure your software version is compatible with hardware preventing any unexpected behavior. 

 

If you need to debug your device, with Build ID it is easier to exclude any incompatibility issues that might cause the issues. For example, without Build IDs it might take you up to few hours to do; with Build ID it should take less then 10mins.

How to set up:

Build IDs are turned off by default. Depending on your project, please see one of the following guides to enable the feature:
